With over 23,000 members living and working in almost every region of the province, SGEUs members know there is strength in numbers. SGEU is Saskatchewans largest union with over 70 different collective agreements. With experience and commitment SGEU provides education, advocacy, grievance handling, contract negotiations and many other services to its members in workplaces such as Crown corporations, education institutions, retail and regulatory industries, healthcare, public service/government, and community service agencies.
Reporting to the President, the Director of Membership Services is a member of SGEUs senior management team. He/she is responsible to provide guidance and direction to the Agreement Administration Advisors (triple AAAs) in the timely, accurate and appropriate provision of services to members and Bargaining Units throughout the province, and to supervise AAAs support staff.
Requirements:
You have a Bachelors Degree in Commerce/B. Admin., Human Resources (major in Labour Relations), Political Science or a related field, and/or three to five years of equivalent experience. Your knowledge and understanding of the collective bargaining process, arbitration techniques, and collective agreement language will serve you well in this position. Your exceptional communication skills and your proven ability to function effectively with committees and groups on various projects are essential.
